Server drought conditions in Southeastern New Brunswick will not only cause trouble when it comes to forest fires, it will also impact farming operations according to local farmer Mitchel Boyle.
Mitchel Boyle of Boyles Family Farm says the Hay is growing right now but without the rain, the crop will stall which would drive up costs for farmers everywhere.
Boyles says if the large Dairy Farms are able to get 3 or 4 cuts of Hay, the price will remain stable.
However, if the Dairy farms only get two cuts of Hay the cost to smaller farms will be significantly higher because of demand.
