The Pump House Brewpub was opened in downtown Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada on September 3, 1999, by Shaun Fraser and his wife Lilia. The first beers on tap at that time were Cadian Cream Ale, Fire Chief’s Red Ale, Muddy River Stout and Pail Ale. All of which are still popular to this day. Later that year they launched Blueberry Ale as a seasonal beer, but it was such a hit that they very quickly brought it into the regular rotation and haven’t stopped brewing it since.
