Let’s Move this MOVEember
Hey, it’s Brock.
I’ve battled mental health issues for most of my adult life. There have been ups, downs, and everything in between—and with a very public job, it’s not easy to sweep those moments under the rug. So instead of hiding, I’m laying it all out.
I’ve faced thoughts of self-harm, worthlessness, despair, depression—you name it. Right now, I’m on medication and following a self-imposed workout routine. And you know what? It’s working. Physical movement is one of the most powerful tools we have in the fight against depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts. It sounds simple—just take a walk.
But I know it’s never that simple when it comes to doing something for ourselves. So I’m asking: come take a walk with me. If not for you, then for me—because I still need the help. And maybe, just maybe, while we’re out there, you’ll feel inspired to open up… or not. That’s okay too.
The point is, we can’t keep doing nothing and expect things to change. If today’s not the day, that’s fine. We’ll keep trying. Together.
