It’s playoff time for New Brunswick High School Football. Tonight the Riverview Royals are on the road to play the Kennebecasis Valley Blue Knights at Usher Miller Field. The winner moves on to the provincial final.
Riverview is looking to repeat as provincial champions. The last team to do that was the Tantramar Titans who went on a 5-season winning streak from 2015 to 2019.
In the other semi-final it’s two storied programs, the Fredericton Black Cats and the Harrison Trimble Trojans. The Trojans last appearance in the final was 2009. The Black Cats were last in the big game when they won it all vs RHS in 2013. Harrison Trimble and Fredericton High are tied for most provincial championships with 14 wins each. K-V has one championship to their name, and RHS has won the big game once in nine tries. Harrison Trimble will host FHS at Woody Hayes field. Game time 7:00 PM
