The album was recorded in Saskatoon in 2005, and released by U.S. independent record label Versailles Records. The album title is a reference to the movie The Big Lebowski. The single ‘Alive in Texas’ from the album was a surprise radio success in Saskatoon, after an intern at the local rock station played it to a DJ and it was subsequently added to heavy rotation.
